New brand day is sort of like our new bike day on Freewheel. It's always nice to have shiny, new, fun things to play with and sell on the site and in Knog we have a brand with more interesting products in its sector than pretty much anyone else.
Founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2002, Knog have a well-deserved reputation for doing things their own way and making products that push the boundaires of both design and performance. Take the Oi bell, for instance. Think you know what a bike bell looks like? Think again. Ignoring for a moment how brilliant it looks, the Oi produces 80dB of loud but pleasant noise to alert people around you when you're riding. It also has a smart cable management system that means it'll fit on your bars without you having to bend that brake or cable housing around it. There's a large to fit 23.8-31.8mm diameter bars and a small for 22.2mm and to circle around to that first thought again - have you ever seen a sleeker-looking bell? Nope, us neither.

But lights are what Knog is best known for, and for good reason. They were the creators of the very first sillicone bike light - the Frog - a product that's still incredibly popular now thanks to its simplicity and reliability and along with lights like the Blinder, Cobber and PWR their range is packed with quality.
One of our favourite Knog lights is the Blinder Rear. Spec-wise it's up there with the best on the market with 100 lumens of punch, an integrated USB-A connector for cable-free charging, IP67 waterproof and a 60hr run time, but the fun part is that it's available with four different LED patterns including a cross, a skull and a grid as well as the more conventional square. Putting the fun into functional, if you see what we mean. If 100 lumens seems like a bit too much, then the Blinder Mini packs many of the same features in a 30-lumen 17g package that still offers 30hrs run time and the same variety of light effects as the larger Blinder Rear.
Outside of lights and bells, the Knog product you really need to know about is the Scout. A motion-sensitive 85dB alarm, the even smarter bit about the Scout is that it's compatible with Apple's Find My app, so you can track where your bike is at all times. You can arm/disarm the alarm using Knog's own app, and the device has a battery life of 6 months. All that is packed into a size that fits to the bottle cages and weighs 25g, so you wont even notice it's there.
If you want to have a browse through the Knog range yourself, you can head over to the brand page and see everything that's available including the Scout, Oi and full range of lights.
