Enter the Freewheel New Forest Spring Sportive

Here at Freewheel we're excited to announce that we've teamed up with UK Cycling Events for our first ever sportive - the New Forest Spring Sportive on April 13-14.

There are three routes available - 81 miles, 67 miles and 30 miles - and you can ride any of them on either Saturday or Sunday around the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire. On top of that. when you enter you'll get 10% off site wide on Freewheel to spend on whatever you fancy, and we're also running a competition in conjunction with the event to win a package containing everything you need to take on your first sportive - including a bike. We'll also be there on the day to help out with anything you need, from last minute essentials to bike maintenance and even a cleaning station so you don't have to chuck a muddy bike in the back of your car for the drive home. This is what we'll be running on both days:

Ridgeback Kids Test Track

There are so many kids' bikes on the market these days, and that makes it so much harder to figure out what your children are going to like. We're bringing a full fleet of our Ridgeback Kids bikes along so your kids can pedal away until their hearts are content and find out what it's like to actually use our bikes.

We get it - sometimes you turn up for a Sportive and find out you've forgotten something (let's be honest, we've all done it!). That's what the Freewheel Dome is for. Packed with the sorts of essentials you might need on the ride, whether it's gels, inner tubes or even clothing, we're there to make sure that the thing you've left at home isn't going to ruin your day.

Shimano Bike Check

Gears not shifting properly? Brakes need attention? Just bring your bike over to our Shimano Tech Mechanics and they'll have it sorted in no time.

Finish Line Bike Wash

If your bike needs a wash down before you stick in the car for the drive home, the Finish Line Bike Wash station is exactly what you need. Much better to clean your bike now than have to clean your car boot later!
