Bike check: Kerry MacPhee's custom Croix de Fer Ti

Kerry MacPhee is one of those bike riders we all wish we were. As well as competing in the likes of the MTB event at the Commonwealth Games, she holds a whole bunch of records for significantly more adventurous cycling, like the fastest completion of the West Highland Way and winner of the Three Peaks Cyclocross race. Basically she's a heck of an athlete and we're really proud to have her riding Genesis bikes. Speaking of which, we recently built her a lovely new Croix de Fer Ti with Shimano GRX and before we shipped it off we thought we'd take some pictures to share. And here they are.

Tan walls, 1X, dropper post, big tyres. Kerry MacPhee's Croix de Fer Ti really ticks all the on-trend boxes for a gravel race bike
GRX is Shimano's gravel-specific groupset, with 1X and 2X choices for the crankset and a rear capacity of up to 42t. That means you can get a better than 1:1 ratio running 1X if you use the 40t chainring and the 11-42 cassette.
Kerry's cockpit of choice is full PRO Discover kit, with carbon flared bars paired to the alloy Discover stem which comes in a whole range of sizes from 70mm-110mm in 10mm increments
Unsurprisingly the saddle is from PRO as well, with Kerry opting for the Stealth Performance saddle rather than the more off-road focused Stealth Discover which is a little heavier but has noticeably more padding than its road-focused counterpart.
The Croix de Fer Ti sits proudly at the top of the Genesis range. It's available as either a full build bike or a frameset so you can build it the way you want it just like Kerry has here.
