Madison's new saddle range will keep you comfortable on the bike

The Madison saddle range has been around for a long time and proven to be very popular, but we figured it was time to mix things up a bit and work on some new ideas. There are heaps of new developments coming over the next few months, but the first of these is the new Freewheel range. These are saddles designed for riding in a more upright position rather than for anyone who's out on a road bike looking to ride fast with their head down.

There are six new models in the Freewheel range, based around four different designs - U100, U200, U300 and U400. They're designed to fit a broad spectrum of rider shapes and they're all unisex rather than gender-specific. They come in four different lengths with U100 being narrowest up to U400 widest. Length-wise the U100 and 200 are standard fit length saddles with a simliar shape to the traditional gents saddle, whereas the U300 and 400 are short-fit length which are similar to traditional ladies saddles.

All the Freewheel saddles are manufactured in Italy and ooze style with a soft touch cover material and an attractive matt finish. They look like premium products and perform like them too, featuring all the latest saddle technology and being made with the upmost attention to detail.

The main focus of these saddles is providing maxiumum rider comfort. One main way this is achieved is the high level of elasticity in the water-resistant cover to memory foam padding and GelCel technology, where Gel is placed strategically according to the anatomical needs of the rider for maximum relief by reducing friction and soft tissue pressure. Two of the models; U100 and U300 also are available without GelCel for those on a tighter budget yet still offer exceptional comfort with memory foam that adapts to the body for an even pressure distribution. All freewheel models feature a unique channelled saddle base which balances strength with flexibility and shock absorption during riding. In addition, the U400 model features a built-in elastomer to absorb unexpected shocks.

Despite being packed full of features and style the Freewheel saddle range offers exceptional value ranging between £29.99 and £39.99 so there really is something for everyone who is demanding both comfort and style on the bike at a fantastic price also.
