Families can ride traffic-free through the City of London and test the latest Ridgeback Kids bikes at the London Nocturne Community Rides on Saturday 13th June at midday. This free family cycling event gives children and parents the opportunity to experience safe, closed-road cycling in the heart of London while enjoying one of the UK’s most exciting cycling events.

We are proud to be part of the London Nocturne Community Rides, bringing our full range of children’s bikes for families to test ride throughout the day.

Ride Traffic-Free Through the City of London

The London Nocturne Community Rides offer a rare opportunity for families to cycle together on completely closed roads through some of London’s most iconic streets and landmarks.

Organised in collaboration with the City of London, Cheapside Business Alliance and London Cycling Campaign, the event creates a safe and welcoming environment for children and adults to enjoy cycling together away from traffic.

The closed-road route includes:

  • Bank Junction
  • The Royal Exchange
  • The Bank of England
  • Queen Victoria Street
  • Cheapside
  • Gresham Street

Whether your child is new to cycling or already loves riding, the London Nocturne is a memorable way to experience family cycling in central London.

Test Ride the Latest Ridgeback Kids Bikes

We will be bringing our wide range of Ridgeback children’s bikes for families to try during the event. From 12pm until 1pm on Saturday 13th June, the circuit will be reserved for community rides and family cycling.

This is the perfect chance for children to test ride a new bike properly on real roads in a safe environment. Not just around a shop or car park.

The Ridgeback Kids range includes:

  • Balance bikes for young children learning to ride
  • Lightweight first pedal bikes
  • Junior bikes for growing riders
  • 27.5” wheel bikes for older children preparing for adult bikes

Every Ridgeback Kids bike is designed to help children ride comfortably, confidently and safely while enjoying every stage of their cycling journey.

The Ridgeback team will also be available throughout the day to help parents choose the right size bike and answer questions about the range.

A Family-Friendly Cycling Event

The London Nocturne Community Rides are designed to be inclusive, welcoming and family friendly.

Adults can ride alongside children on the closed-road circuit, making it a fun and relaxed experience for riders of all ages and abilities.

Families can:

  • Bring their own bikes
  • Use hire bikes
  • Ride together on traffic-free roads
  • Watch professional racing later in the day
  • Enjoy the festival atmosphere in the City of London

For many children, this could be their first experience riding safely on closed roads in a major city — and a brilliant way to build confidence and excitement around cycling.
