  • Treat the mountain with the disrespect it deserves and get Rude as Hell, the FR 571 can take it
  • Whereas the FR 541 is intended as the perfect DH race rim with a careful balance of impact resistance, ride characteristics and weight, the FR 571 goes all-in on pure strength for those who just can't help themselves and value durability above all else
  • The result of extensive testing with some of the most destructive riders on the World Cup DH and EWS circuits as well as leading freeriders, this rim isn't for everyone but for the chosen few it will the answer to their prayers
  • The 571 adds an extra 80 grams (in 27.5") over the 541, putting more material in places where even the renowned 541 gives way increasing durability to even greater heights, if you break one of these we will want to see the clip
  • A fattened bead hook, already well proven on the 541 profile, widens and blunts the area that slams into the tyre during a heavy impact, increasing the force required to split the tyre by 17%, allowing you to go that bit harder
  • Included Brass Flat Hex nipples are designed not to pierce rim tape should a spoke snap mid-race run or halfway down a sketchy line
  • The included PHR washers increase stiffness and durability with no weight penalty over traditional eyeleted rims
  • Available in 32 hole only... naturally
  • Weight: 650 grams (27.5 inch) 695 grams (29 inch)
  • External Rim Diameter: 561 mm (27.5 inch) 599mm (29 inch)
  • Inner Width: 30 mm, outer width: 36 mm, height: 23 mm

‘We invent, develop, shape and create, every day. We aspire to engineer leadership, every day. We strive for products that set benchmarks, every day. We help cyclists achieve their ambitions. Every day since 1994, engineering performance has been at the heart of everything we do.’

It all started with spokes. Formed in 1994 following a buyout from a Biel-based wire works with roots all the way back to the 15th-century, DT Swiss AG was founded by Frank Böchmann, Maurizio D’Alberto and Marco Zingg with the vision of becoming a world-renowned manufacturer of bicycle components.

Pioneers of the ratchet rear hub – which still sets the standard for engagement and performance – DT believes that wheels should be built with the entire system in mind, not just constructed from parts built by other brands. Every DT Swiss wheel is entirely made by the Swiss brand with hubs, nipples, spokes and rims all designed and built by them rather than sourced elsewhere.

In 2017 they launched the ARC road wheels, developed in conjunction with SwissSide and renowned aerodynamicist JP Ballard, and the latest generation of these wheels are currently ridden in the pro peloton by Lotto-Dstny and the likes of Caleb Ewan and Thomas De Gendt.

Today, DT Swiss is one of the biggest names in cycling and still strives to develop beautifully engineered products that break boundaries while setting the standard for quality control and reliability.
