I set up Inspiral Cycles in 2014 with a business vision which would serve the Durham Dales community and beyond. We have stunning landscapes and amazing cycle routes on our doorstep and we’re here to help everyone get out to enjoy and explore. My life-long cycling passion (MTB, CX, road, BMX…I’ve tried everything), knowledge and enthusiasm combined with Fiona’s tireless community engagement has firmly fixed Inspiral Cycles into the local consciousness and grown our business into the great team we have today. "Multi-award-winning shop, workshop and online sales. Inspiral Cycles started by Gary and Fiona Ewing as a good honest proper local bike shop - for servicing and fixing all range of cycles and sales of new bikes, parts, accessories and clothing. From being named North East & Yorkshire’s best ‘Start-up of the Year’ 2017 by the Federation of Small Businesses to being crowned ‘North-East Cycle Retailer of the Year’ by the English Independent Retail Awards in 2019, the team have grown from strength to strength. Customer engagement is why Inspiral Cycles exists in the first place – it’s the top personal advice (from staff with over 130 combined years of cycling expertise!), the quick tweaks to a cycle to make it safe, the options given in suggesting fixes rather than just replacements, which we know our customers value. We pride ourselves on stocking a huge range of those bike parts all kind of riders may just happen to need there and then, rather than having to order everything in. Check out our range of bikes online or just pop into shop where we’d be happy to service your bike to a super-high standard. We have three staff working at Cytech Level 2 or above in our workshop.
