Spring is coming and you'd better be ready

Spring is coming and you'd better be ready

We know it's not Spring yet - it's not offically Spring until March 20 - but since the last week has given us a taste of what's in store we've been thinking about what we'll need when it's finally time to consign the bib tights to the attic for a few months. But it's nice to dream, and here are a few of our favourite products that'll be really useful when Spring has finally sprung...

Lazer Century
£129.99 (£149.99 with MIPS)

With 100 years of experience in the bag, the Century is Lazer’s celebration helmet taking everything they’ve learned and combining it all into a smart, innovative and affordable package.

With 18 vents and the unique Twist Cap system, the Century is both a highly ventilated road lid and an aero road helmet. All you need to do is reverse the Twist Cap and you can gain 11% better ventilation, or close up some vents for an aero advantage.

At the back, there’s an integrated, rechargeable LED to keep you safe riding at night and all this is wrapped in a package that’s just 277g for a medium. It's priced well, too, you wont find many other lids on the market with this many features for 130 quid.

100% sunnies
£various

They might be a comparative new kid on the block, but there’s a reason that 100% sunnies have appeared on the faces of cyclists everywhere both on and off-road: they look great and perform even better.

Whether you want the full-frame stylings of the SpeedTraps, ostentatious ubercool of the SpeedCrafts, classic fit and style of the S2 or even something else in the range, you can’t go wrong.

Peter Sagan and Loic Bruni are already in the 100% club and Fernando Gaviria has just joined them. When are you going to make the switch?

Dynaplug
£various

More daylight means more riding time, and more riding time means more chance you'll have a puncture (please don’t hate us for saying it). Running tubeless has, thankfully, removed the dreaded pinch flat from the equation, but sometimes you’ll still make a hole in the tyre that sealant just can’t fix.

That’s where Dynaplug is your best friend. It’s a smart system that uses proprietary viscoelastic plugs to fill larger holes in tyres and get you back rolling again in no time. They even do one with a built-in CO2 cannister so you can inflate while you plug. Check them out here.
