The situation we’re in right now is unprecedented, and we never thought we’d find ourselves where we are right now, which we’re guessing is how most of you feel as well. But we just wanted to take a moment and reassure you all about what we’re doing at the moment.

At Freewheel, we already had good hygiene standards, but in recent weeks we’ve ramped that up to another level and we’ll continue to monitor and adjust them according to the latest from Public Health England and Government guidelines. We know that you’ll be keeping high standards too and remember to keep washing your hands and social distance from other people.

We have a strong IT structure here and we’ve been able to get as many staff out of the office and working from home as we can. We’re running skeleton shifts in the warehouse to minimise risk of infection to staff there and it helps them do their jobs without needing to worry about coming into contact with others.

As part of the wider bike industry we know we have a role to play in helping the country get through this. Last week the Bicycle Association were keen to stress to the Government that bicycles can play an important part in keeping the country going, as well as keeping people healthy both mentally and physically.

We all have a shared responsibility in this. On our own we’re powerless but if we work together we can make a real difference, protect our industry, keep each other safe and healthy and make sure that we have a future when this is all over.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and please take care of yourselves. We wish you all the best.
